'Brahmastra' shows a ray of hope in Bollywood's depressed market. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer film released 10 days ago. The film hits the big screens on September 9. The film became a member of the '300 crore' club in just 10 days of its release. Before the release, there were many speculations surrounding the film 'Brahmastra' directed by Ayan Mukherjee. There were many questions about how successful the film would be at the box office. But the box office returns answered all the questions about 'Brahmastra'. Big news in this drought market of Hindi films, the film earned Rs. 215.50 crores in 10 days. Meanwhile, 'Brahmastra' has also broken several film records. According to the people concerned, the film will cross 250 crores in the third week of its release. And then the film will soon surpass 'The Kashmir Files'.

Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, The Kashmir Files earned a total of Rs 252.90 crore at the domestic market. 'Brahmastra' opened the box office with Rs 36.42 crores on its first day of release across India. It earned Rs 173.22 crore from India alone in the first week. 'Brahmastra' maintained dominance at the box office even in its second week of release. The film earned 10.6 crores on the second Friday. Last Saturday (9th day of release) the earnings numbers were quite good. On this day 'Brahmastra' earned 15.38 crores. Last Sunday (10th day of release) the revenue from India was Rs 16.30 crore. "Brahmastra" is doing great business not only in the country but also abroad. This film earned around 350 crore rupees worldwide in 9 days of its release. And in this respect, Ranveer's film has already left behind 'The Kashmir Files'. The lifetime collection of 'The Kashmir Files' was Rs 340 crore.

However, 'Brahmastra' cannot be called a hit yet. Because, 410 crore rupees have been spent for the production of the film. 'Brahmastra' can be called a success at the box office only when the film grosses 500 crores. So Ayan's film still needs to earn about 150 crores. Meanwhile, the film 'The Kashmir Files' was made for around Rs 15 crore. Vivek Agnihotri earned as much as Rs 325 crore from this film. The name of 'Bhool Bhulaiya 2' is in the list of the most hit films of the year so far. 'Brahmastra' has now overtaken Karthik Aaryan's 'Bhul Bhulaya Two' in terms of earnings.
